Elisabeth Caren


Elisabeth Caren is an editorial, advertising and fine art photographer based in Los Angeles. Elisabeth’s lifetime experiences in theatre and film heavily influence her work, which has been described as classic and cinematic.

Elisabeth’s advertising clients include Atlantic Records, CBS, Lionsgate Entertainment, NBC, MTV, and Sony Pictures Television. Her work has been featured featured on the covers of several international magazines and in The New York Times, The Hollywood Reporter, Emmy, People, Entertainment Weekly, Elle, Bust, Fault, and InStyle.

Elisabeth’s fine art work has been exhibited at the premiere of Photo Basel, Switzerland as a finalist of Photo LA’s Focus Competition. She was on the short list for The Young Masters Art Prize 2014 and exhibited in the Young Masters exhibition tour 2015-2016 in London, New York, Miami and Los Angeles. Elisabeth has been recognized with over 40 multiple honorable mention acknowledgments by the 2015, 2014, 2013 and 2012 International Photography Awards (Lucie Foundation), the IPA One Shot 2014 competition and won PDN’s Faces 2014. Elisabeth was selected and exhibited several images in the “Creative Portrait” exhibition at the Los Angeles Center of Photography in November 2015. Her work was also featured in MOPLA (Month of Photography Los Angeles/Lucie Foundation) group shows “Diverse City” in 2016 and “Realities and Concepts” in 2015 and was also selected for APA’s Off The Clock exhibitions in 2015, 2014 and 2013. Her fine art photography was also featured in several episodes of the hit MTV award winning comedy AWKWARD.

Elisabeth graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre and Film from Boston University’s College of Fine Arts. In the past, she worked in film development for acclaimed filmmakers Barry Sonnenfeld, David Friendly and Kathryn Bigelow, and in entertainment publicity and marketing. Her ten years of experience in the entertainment industry and especially in public relations and marketing, has given her tremendous insight into the needs of her clients

A few of Elisabeth’s favorite things: capturing an individual’s unique beauty with the hope that it will help her/him see, feel and know it for her/himself, collaborating with other artists, exploring the world through travel, and Korean BBQ.
